Sheet Metal Leveling Machine: During the leveling process in a roller leveler (straightener), the metal sheet or plate undergoes a series of alternating bends of decreasing strength. The principle is that the straightening rollers are staggered from entry to exit, causing the metal sheet to deform like a decaying sine curve – the initial bend amplitude is the largest at the entry and gradually decreases until the exit.
